Sarah graduated from UWE, Bristol (UK) with a B.Sc. (Hons) in Animal Science in 2004, and gained an M.Sc. in Ecology (2005) from the University of Wales, Bangor (UK). Following university Sarah worked as a protected species Ecologist/wildlife biologist for an international consultancy and various conservation groups, specializing in bat research. For over 15 years, Sarah worked with species at risk in the UK, Europe, Caribbean, New Zealand, USA and Central America. When the COVID Pandemic started Sarah was researching bats in Cape Cod Massachusetts, as part of a PhD program at the State University of New York. As she lives locally, with her husband and dogs, she decided to leave the USA with a second Masters degree in Environmental management. Sarah Joined the EGAH team at the end of 2020. Sarah is still very passionate about bats and wildlife conservation, working and volunteering on projects in her spare time. She loves spending time with her husband and 2 dogs, Cricket and Huxley, going on adventures and snuggling with a good film.
